How the methodology works
Every stock is evaluated against 28 quantitative checks covering profitability, balance-sheet quality, growth, and valuation. Each check returns a pass or fail against a fixed threshold; the total is displayed as a score from 0 to 100. InvestViable provides methodology and data — not opinions on individual stocks. Frequently asked questions
What is a stock screen and how do these screens differ?
A stock screen is a filter that surfaces equities matching specific criteria. InvestViable's 51 screens are organized in three groups. Sector screens filter by GICS classification. Theme screens filter by industry vertical, market-cap band, index membership, or thematic exposure. Style screens apply formulaic rules drawn from established investing frameworks. Each screen returns the same 3,000+ US-listed universe filtered against its specific criteria.
How is the Investment Score calculated?
Every stock is evaluated against 28 quantitative checks covering profitability, balance-sheet quality, growth, and valuation. Each check returns a pass or fail against a fixed threshold. The total is displayed as a score from 0 to 100.
Can I customize a screen?
Pre-built screens use fixed criteria. For custom filtering, use the main stock screener interface where every criterion is adjustable. Saved custom screens can be re-run against updated data.
How often is the data refreshed?
Stock data refreshes daily from our financial data provider. Screens are re-evaluated on each refresh.
Are these screens investment recommendations?
No. InvestViable provides methodology and data. Investment decisions are the user's responsibility.
